Welcome to The Turtle Depot! After a long and detailed search we discovered there wasn’t a dedicated site to turtles that served a serious turtle lover justice. So we decided to create one ourselves. In this site you’ll find numerous guides, articles, and facts about every species of turtle we can find. If we’ve missed anything or you want us to cover anything in particular please feel free to email us!

Sue Harris: Managing Editor
Sue Harris is an accomplished writer who has been writing for over 20 years. She has a masters degree in English. When not writing she has a turtle pond in her backyard and loves everything about turtles!
I have a honors degree in Business from London University, specializing in marketing. I am a native English speaker, a fluent and persuasive writer. I write fluently in American English and standard English. I am a judge in the 2022 Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition Ranked as “Expert.’
Much of my working life has been spent writing catalog and on line mail order copy, articles for trade and specialist journals and press releases. To support my mail order specialist fishing tackle business, I co-wrote a book, “Encyclopaedia of Lures” which was published in 1993 by Crowood, UK ; considered a standard reference in the UK. I have written seven e-books under various pen names on subjects as diverse as off grid living, relationships, health and diet. I live in Belize on my 15 acre farm.
I make cheese and other products for our local Farmers’ Market. I am a lay minister in the Anglican Church and I am in the process of ordination to be a Vocational Deacon. I am a qualified counselor, with a special interest in spiritual counseling. I have a wide range of writing techniques, but I have particular expertise in product copy writing. I am skilled in finding distinctions between products which are on the face of it very similar. I like to create a “story” which hooks the reader, breathing life into what might otherwise be a rather dull and undifferentiated product. I’m an expert cook, and love to write about food and drink. I enjoy writing about tropical farming, alternative technology, living off grid, sustainable living, pets, in fact, anything to do with small scale living off the land.
As a person with a lot of life experience, I can write convincingly and intelligently on all aspects of human relationships.
